EDGE Grant Eligibility 2026: What We Know So Far
EDGE was announced at Budget 2026 as the consolidation of PSG, EDG and MRA, launching in the second half of 2026. Final eligibility criteria have not been published — here is what has been announced, and how to plan around the gaps.
What Budget 2026 changes
Budget 2026 announced that PSG, EDG and MRA will be consolidated into a single grant — EDGE — launching in the second half of 2026. The existing schemes remain in force until then. MRA support for SMEs is enhanced to 70% (1 April 2026 – 31 March 2029), and non-SMEs gain access to internationalization support at up to 50% under EDGE.
EDGE's final eligibility criteria have not been published, so the safest way to plan is to check your position under the current rules and against EDGE as announced, side by side.
What is announced vs what is unknown
Announced: the consolidation itself, the 2H 2026 launch window, enhanced MRA support for SMEs at 70% (1 Apr 2026 – 31 Mar 2029), and internationalization support of up to 50% for non-SMEs under EDGE.
Unknown: the final eligibility criteria, support levels and caps for EDGE itself. Treat any page claiming final EDGE criteria with caution — including ours, which is why every assessment cites the exact rule version and status (in-force vs announced) it used.
The current PSG rules at a glance
Under the current PSG rules, a company generally qualifies if it is registered and operating in Singapore, has at least 30% local shareholding, and meets the SME definition — group annual revenue of not more than S$100 million, or not more than 200 employees. Support is at 50% of qualifying costs, capped at S$30,000 per company per year.
Two rules catch many applicants: the solution must be used in Singapore, and you must not have signed with or paid your vendor before applying.
Apply now or wait for EDGE?
If you qualify under today's PSG rules and have a concrete solution to buy, applying under known rules is generally the lower-risk path. Waiting means applying under criteria that are not yet final.
